Welcome.
Think Through Math is here!
Parents, the school system has purchased a great mathematics web based program just for Conyers Middle School and the Math Support students will be our pilot group. This is a wonderful opportunity, Each student has completed their placement test and have begun to follow their individualized learning pathway. There are several interesting features. Students earn points as they complete problems and lessons. They earn higher points for getting each problem correct on their first attempt which rewards patience and discourages guessing. The hope is to convince our students to slow down but be more thoughtful. The points they earn can be donated to charities and are posted daily in order to encourage competition. There are warm-up games. limited to three minutes, and an avatar to add some fun. Since we got a little bit of a late start with this tool we will be spending a great amount of class time on this program but your child can access Think Through Math at home. I am adding a link button to access the student login page.
The best feature of this new program is a parent registration website so you can monitor and get involved with your child's education from home. I am adding a link button to access the parent registration location. I sent a letter home with your child.
Since each student works on an individualized pathway I have dropped my lesson plans.

A large part of the curriculum this year will involve some excellent academic websites including the Khan Academy and Think Through Math. Students can view instructional videos and complete examples of hundreds of math topics. Please encourage your child to use the links below to investigate these sites.
